Thick hardbound 8vo in dustwrapper. 354 pp. A book dealing with the author's experiences and impressions on his journey to England, Russia, France, Germany, Spain, northern Africa and finally back home to his beloved Harlem. First issue with reddish-brown covers with black paper label on the front panel printed and illustrated in gilt with art deco-inspired drawing. Prior owner name to the front endpaper. Couple of small stains to the rear endpaper and rear pastedown. The book is solidly bound and in overall very good condition. The price-intact dustwrapper ($3.00) has some significant paper loss at lower spine area and a few other smaller chips around the edges. Still presents quite well. By the author of Home To Harlem, Banjo and Banana Bottom among other works. Very Good / fair. Item #29676
