The poet's first major collection following his masterwork in 1982 of The Changing Light At Sandover. This copy nicely INSCRIBED by Merril "With love to John early & late - Jimmy v.85" The John in the inscription (although unstated here) is John Bernard Myers, publisher of the Tiber Press and founder of the Tibor de Nagy Gallery.
