Rare promotional book with 45 rpm record in sleeve at rear for conceptual artist and alt-country music artist Terry Allen and the Panhandle Mystery Band. Paperbound book has 32 unnumbered pages filled with reproductions of newspaper articles and reviews with black and white photographs. Stamped "Promotion Copy" on the front cover. Included in a pocket at the rear of the book is a 45 rpm record containing What Ever Happened To Jesus by Allen plus Maybeline (Chuck Berry on one side and Cajun Roll on the other side. Record is in terrific condition. The book includes a discography of the band. Allen (born in 1943 in Wichita is an American Texas country and outlaw country singer-songwriter, painter and conceptual artist from Lubbock, Texas. His first record appeared in 1975 (Juarez), but his second record which debuted in in 1979 entitled Lubbock (on everything) brought him and his band fame. It was named by Rolling Stone one of the most important albums of the 1970's. Rare promo record and book for this concept artist and musician. Near Fine. Item #28900
