Living At The Movies (Original Inscribed Silkscreen)

Living At The Movies (Original Inscribed Silkscreen)

No Place: Privately Printed, 1974. First edition. Loose Sheets. Large color silkscreen on BFK Rives paper. Measuring 24 1/2" tall x 34" wide. Nicely INSCRIBED at bottom right-hand corner to poet Joe LeSueur "For JoJo in Bliss, Larry R." LeSueur's signature in pencil is found on the edge of the verso of the silkscreen. Possibly from an edition of 175 numbered copies; this example is unnumbered and likely is an hors commerce copy. With very light foxing to the borders and a few light creases. Overall a bright near fine example. The image was used for the cover artwork of Jim Carroll's poetry collection Living At The Movies which was published in 1973. A terrific association copy between several important New York School figures. Both Rivers and Carroll as well as LeSueur all intersected in love, poetry and art with the poet Frank O'Hara. Near Fine. Item #32314
