Includes the following: (1) A signed chapbook published by Bloomsbury containing this separate story. A fine copy in wrappers with foldover flaps. (2) A typed letter signed from editorial director at Bloomsbury, Karen Rinaldi, to "Jeremy" dated 13 October 1998 wherein she writes to LeRoy to say "Here is a edited version of METEOR. I am sending the hard copy showing the cuts, as well as the story with the cuts made. The story is incredibly powerful, some of your best writing so far. Funny, poignant, skillful. Keep at it. Let me know what you think of the cuts. I'd like to send this out to a few places". (3) the cut version of this story, typed with editorial markups (17 typed pages) and (4) the "cleaned up" version (15 pages typed). LeRoy was a teenage prostitute on the streets of San Francisco. Some of his addictive behaviors were alleviated by a kindly medical analyst at UC Medical Center. With the help of some prominent novelists he began publishing his work at the age of 15. By age 18, he had published his first novel entitled "Sarah". The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things is his second book and first story collection.
