No Place: National Association of Educational Broadcasters, 1960. First Edition. Hardcover. Subtitled "A Report To The United States Office Of Education From The National Association of Educational Broadcasters". Document produced by McLuhan as a result of a grant from the National Defense Education Act. Its purpose was to develop a syllabus for 11th graders in media awareness and the basic laws concerning sensory effects of various media. Not surprisingly the document was too advanced for high school students, but it served as a springboard for many of McLuhan's greatest themes which were published in The Gutenberg Galaxy and Understanding Media later in the decade. This document, well over two hundred pages in length, has been bound in a contemporary binding. A few inked margin notes in an unknown hand, else a fine copy.
