Prior ownership stamp to inside front pastedown and a handwritten price on the half-title page. While condition of this book is ordinary, it is very nicely INSCRIBED by Algren to friend and fellow New York artist, Richard Merkin on the front endpaper. Algren has added his customary drawing of a cat next to the inscription. Lacking rare dustwrapper. Inscribed copies of this title are by no means common. Good. Item #10407
