Wallace Berman In Conversation (Record)

Easthampton and Woodbridge: Edition MUTA and Derringer Books, 2015. First edition. Record LP. A previously lost recording published for the first time, featuring Wallace Berman discussing his work, art, literature and other matters with Shirley Berman, Hal Glicksman, Jack and Ruth Hirschman. Recorded by Hal Glicksman at the Berman home in Topanga Canyon in 1968. Mastered from the original tape recording and with a new introductory text by Tosh Berman as liner notes. "When I hear Wallace on this tape, I still can't recall his voice or sound. Some years ago Hal Glicksman played this tape to me and my mom when we were planning the retrospective right after Wallace died. What shocked me is that he was playing it in the background at a meeting and I didn't have the foggiest idea it was my dad on the tape. I spent the first 21 years of my life with Wallace, and when he died, his voice disappeared as well" This is a brand new vinyl LP. 55 minutes 55 seconds in length. Published in an edition of 400 copies. A co-publishing venture between Edition MUTA and Derringer Books. As New. Item #20650
